He also holds a Ph.D. from the University of Jyväskylä, awarded in 2014, and was appointed as a Docent in Critical Infrastructures and Cyber Security in 2015. Rajamäki has extensive experience in electrotechnical standardization, having served in significant roles such as the Secretary and Chairman of the Finnish National EMC Committee. He worked at the Safety Technology Authority and Telecom Finland before joining Laurea in 2006. At Laurea, he has played a key role in developing several master's programs and specialization studies in network design. He has supervised, evaluated, and served as an opponent in doctoral dissertations. Throughout his research career, Rajamäki has led and supervised major research projects, including CELTIC MACICO and HARMONISE FP7. He has also served as an expert and reviewer for European Commission research projects. Rajamäki has published over 200 scientific articles and received numerous awards, including best paper awards and national thesis competition wins. Dr. Rajamäki is an active member of several professional organizations, including IEEE, and has been an invited speaker at international conferences.
